All portraits are painted in oil on a masonite (wood) panel.
ORDERING:
We work exclusively from photos. Digital photos should be good quality resolution- Please no cell phone pictures. You can send us multiple photos, and we will work with you to determine the best photo to use for a portrait. For more than one pet, we can work from multiple photos, to put all pets together in the same portrait. You can send digital photos by e-mail or printed photos by regular mail. We can accept most file formats.
DEPOSIT:
A 50 percent deposit is required before we can start the painting. When you are ready to have a portrait painted, we will send you a contract for the work. You will need to sign the contract and send it back to us with the deposit. If you are paying by credit card, the contract can be mailed back separately. If the customer cancels the portrait prior to our completion of the initial sketch, 25 percent of the deposit will be refunded. The deposit is non-refundable after the sketch is completed. Once we receive the deposit, you will receive a sketch via e-mail or through a link on our website. Once you have approved the sketch (for size and composition) we will start the painting process, which will take 2-4 weeks. Please let us know if the painting is needed for a special event (birthday, anniversary, ect) when placing your order. The remaining balance for the painting is due on completion of the painting.
